on dreaming
—So in further California lifestyle occupational hazard news, I’m getting into active dreaming
—There’s this supplement you can take, galantamine, which gives you incredibly lucid dreams
—It also makes you feel like you’re disintegrating into eternity when it’s kicking in, which is weird
—There’s other stuff, I have this forest of jars on my bedside table now
—And the more you spend time interacting with your dreams, the more your general dream recall increases, so my dreams are currently pretty memorable
—Anyway so far no revelations, lucid dreams had been advertised to me as a way of understanding your life and receiving transmissions, but so far it just seems like dumb things happen
—I found out my uncle was actually a bounty hunter fighting in some sort of race war, I met a child genius inventor at a rooftop convention in Vegas, my car was underwater and still functioning, I rode a one-wheeled motorcycle through LA, so that’s fun
—You can also meditate in your sleep; meditating while you’re floating above rainbow cabbage in a dewy grove turns out to be fun
—But if there is a signal in this noise I am not picking it up and my dreams need to try harder
—But it’s fine if it’s all dumb, I’ve realized, it’s just like I have an hour of my day now when the laws of physics don’t apply
—Get up, work, do some writing, go to the gym, make dinner, hang out with the wife, drive a car through the ocean, get up again
—It’s a good life if you don’t weaken

Sleep is a natural annealing process, it helps you 'process' stuff. What kind of difference did you notice on the emotional processing dimension?
